Personal Statement
Hello my name is Lance Scudder, I have been playing soccer since I was six years old. Once I realized how much I liked to play and watch my idols such as Tim Melia and Tim Howard. I knew that it was something that I could use for the rest of my life. Opportunities have come about to be watched and trained by Tim Melia personally on multiple occasions, with the help of goal keeper Andy Gruendebaum during the time I played with the Olympic Development Program and Sporting Kaw Valley. While playing for Manhattan High School Indians in Manhattan, Kansas for my high school experience. Following the freshman high school season I went to Madrid, Spain and trained with the Real Madrid soccer coaches and played against other Spanish youth soccer teams. This experience showed how much hard work I need to put in to be the best player I can be. To get to all those points in time it took hard work, training personally and with my team while keeping my ability to be eligible to play and work on the weekend to referee. Future plans are to continue to play soccer in college and on through the MLS. My dedication to college will be focused on my school work and dedication to the team that I play for. The difference between me and other recruits would be that I am highly motivated to keep my college progressive in their advancements of soccer play and performance. My dedication to keeping myself a top student is having the time management and the grades to be a sought out player. My educational goals are to get a Bachelors of Business Management with emphasis in Healthcare Administration.
