My name is Jackson Elkins. I will be a 2024 graduate. I am a defensive Center Back or Outside back on my HS Varsity & Travel teams. I have been able to move & adapt to different formations. In a 3 or 4 man backfield 

I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old for various organized teams. I have played other sports but keep coming back to soccer, it is the sport I love!  During my time on different travel teams I have learned & practiced skills under different coaches & formations. I am a coachable player & student of the game, I listen & learn. You will rarely have to tell me twice to do something before I can pick it up & implement it into my game. As long as there is communication & instruction I will do what is asked of me.  The skills I have learned & crafted have produced results in my early career.

Travel teams: the last five years I have played for two different travel teams. I played 3 years with Indiana Fire Juniors South out of Evansville IN. (IFJS 05 boys). In 2022 my IFJS team won the Indiana state championship for our division and went to the Midwest Region. The next year 2022-2023 I changed travel teams to Bowling Green FC academy 05 boys. We won many tournaments with this team, Rocky Top College Showcase, North Carolina College Showcase and the Kentucky KPL 2023 Spring State Championship (State Cup) and went on to the Midwest Region.

  High School: I earned def. MVP for my High School JV team as an 8th grader. I have started 83 varsity games in my HS career as a 4 year starter. 83 varsity starts is 2nd all time in school history. My HS coach said, “I was a staple on the team…one of the toughest kids he knows”.I have been the top defender on my HS varsity team two years straight. My sophomore year I was 2nd only to a fellow defensive teammate which was a Senior. I lead my team in Defensive Points (DPs)  two years straight. I am currently ranked #1 in school history with 1,865 DPs. I am the schools all time Defensive Stopper. I earned all district team honors my Senior year. I was selected to the All Star Regional team. We played against the 3rd Region team and won. I also earned the Hopkins County Male Athlete of the Year (Sportsmanship Award).

My goal & ambition is to play soccer at the highest level I can. I would like to help my college team win our conference season, conference tournament and help take my team to tour National tournament championship. My next step in achieving my goal is to earn my way onto a collegiate soccer team. I believe my skill & work ethic have prepared me to be a day one starter. However, I understand & am willing to work & grow in a program, earn my way onto the starting lineup. I am looking for a University program where I can grow & learn as a player & young man to achieve my goals on & off the field, to be the best I can be.
