Personal Statement
My goal for college is to do the best I can at what ever it may be that I pursue. I want to be the best at it. I have considered pursuing engineering, but honestly it is still something I haven't quite decided on. Ever since I could walk I have played soccer. When it comes to soccer I take it pretty seriously. Many of my teammates in high school would say that I am to serious at times, but only because I want my team to win. I don't like joking around during practice because that is when it matters the most. If you have a lazy perspective during practice and your mind isn't concentrated on what you are doing then that will reflect how you play in a game and not so much in a good way. When it comes to games I'm quite different than most players. I don't care about how many goals I have scored or how many assists I have, the only thing I care about is if my team is winning or losing. Sometimes during the game I have to ask the score if my team is winning or losing because the score isn't what is on my mind. I try to do what I can to get the goal, not for myself, but for the team. When I see these guys that just want the goal for their status online it irritates me because they are more concerned about himself or herself than about the team. I feel like I have a very well understanding for the game and how it should and should not be played. Bragging about myself isn't something I like to do, but I do know I'm a very athletic person. Any sport I try to do always comes easier for me than others. My grades in school have always been good. I have been able to keep between a 3.4 to a 3.5 GPA all through high school.
