I first started playing soccer at the age of eight during the third grade. Soccer is really the only sport I have ever really felt a passion for. All other sports just left me bored. I have always looked at the fluidity and continuous play as the primary reason I connected with the game. If I were to look throughout my playing career from the age of eight to the present I would only use the word perseverance to describe it. I was never the first pick or the star of the team, but I always withstood the doubt and contempt. The best example of this was when I was placed on the secondary team for my travel team freshman year while struggling to maintain a spot on the actual high school freshman team at DeMatha Catholic High School. That was the first taste of rejection I had experienced, but I still kept with it and now I went from division 6 soccer in eighth grade to playing at the highest level for club soccer now. Soccer helped me gain a sense of self dependence.
I wish to finish high school off with 4.0's for the entirety of senior year. However my collegiate goals are to become the most well rounded person I can be. I aim the most experienced, hard-working, and ethical person I can be by the end of my collegiate career. Just seeing where I started and where I have ended up is astonishing. All I want to be able to say is that I pursued everything I did to the height of my ability and didn't miss a moment doing it. All of this makes me a great candidate for any team. I'm not a very argumentative person and can make friends with others well, but I am still firm with my beliefs and morals. I have the ability to learn quickly and use what I learned proficiently afterwards. Overall I aim to be a gentleman and a scholar.
