Arthur Nganou '17 Recruiting Profile

When I made the 10 hour trip from my hometown of Cameron to Africa to the united states I was very shy. Everything here was different  from the African culture and customs I was used to.  As I went to my first day of school I tried to stay  away from class mates as my thick accent and differences made me insecure and scared to interact with other people.  Soccer is what made me come out of my comfort zone as in PE classes I would enjoy pick up games and start conversations with people I never met before, an even that would had never occurred under different circumstances. Ever since that day I started practicing and refining my skills as soccer opened new bridges to my most prized friendships while teaching me the most valuable etiquette and life lessons I know today.   This is the main reason why my goal is to play in a collage soccer program that will challenge me every day athletically and academically  in order to bring the best out of me.
