Personal Statement
My name is Daniel Hott and I am a Senior at Fort Hill High School. I have played varsity soccer at Fort Hill for all 4 years. In the past 4 years, I have started in many different positions. I have played in the 6 and 8, (defensive midfield) I have played in the 10, (attacking midfield) I have played in the 9 (forward), and have even played in the 7 or 11 (outside midfield). In my area, I play on a club team known as ASA (Allegany Soccer Alliance) Red Fusion. I have played travel ball for the last 9 years with Hagerstown FC, ASA Red Fusion and more recently with Calverton Soccer Club in Prince Georges County, MD. This past year, I also played for the Maryland ODP 98 Boys team and traveled to Italy. I played forward and scored two goals and 2 assists in the four games we played in Italy. I only played one year of ODP as I live approximately 2 hours away from the training field. I had not even went to tryouts in the past. I attended ODP camp in Kutztown, PA. At the club and High school level, my main position is a Forward. From this position, I utilize movement on and off the ball, ball control and footwork. I believe I would be a good collegiate athlete because of my height, strength and overall will to get better. I work hard day in and day out either at practice or on my own free time. I currently have a 3.34 GPA and plan to attend college to study Physical Therapy. I would definitely like to continue my soccer career at the next level.
