My name is Daniel Rye and I am a senior at North Point High School in Waldorf, Maryland. I am 5' 9" and play center back for my high school team, and defensive midfield/center back for my Select Travel team.
I have 4 years of club experience, with the local community sports league. Then, I was picked to be on a Select Travel team where I have played at the some of the highest levels. I currently have 8 years of experience on Select Travel teams. I have been a 3 year varsity starter for my high school team. Ideally I would like to attend a University on or near the East Coast. Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in the college selection process, as my Dad passed away March 18, 2013. I would like to be at a program where I would make a contribution early in my career. I am a Captain for my High school team and am very vocal to keep the teams heads up and in the game at all times. It is and has been my dream to play college soccer since I was old enough to kick a ball. You will find that I am diligent and very dedicated. I don't know how to give up.
"I think the best attribute that separates you from your peers is your composure. The game seems to slow down for you, even when surrounded by opponents or in a bad spot, facing your own net. You are never rushed or play impulsively. It 's contagious and spreads to your teammates."
