Personal Statement

I am currently playing at Richmond International Academic and Soccer Academy in Leeds, United Kingdom training hard and developing as a Goalkeeper and player daily. This time in England is improving my game and helping me to develop as a person. I am considering coming back to play in the USA in either the fall of 2018.
Through soccer, I have learned perseverance, dedication and leadership. Playing Keeper is who I am and who I've been since I was 4 years old. None of us know what our futures hold. But I know my life will always involve soccer in some way.
I am a straight "A" student looking for a school that will allow me to pursue my goals of getting a degree in Business and either Engineering or International Finance and continuing to grow in the game. I am a goalkeeper, and my biggest skill related strength in goal is my "fearless attack" on the 1:1 breakaway. I travel 90 miles one way to play with Costa United FC Premier and it has been more than worth it to continue to learn and advance my training. I think my coaches and others can describe me as a person and as a player much better than I can as stated below. Thank you for viewing my profile.

Playing Ability Boone is athletic in many ways. As his wrestling coach, his drive to work hard and be the best athlete on the mat makes him a great athlete. Another is, his hours spent off season training to stay a step ahead of his competitors and keep his skills fresh.
Personality Boone's personality is what coaches like myself look for in every athlete. Boone is the most grateful and honest kid I have ever coached. Boone is a great team leader and it shows by how his team mates respond to his leadership.

Playing Ability: Boone proved to be a tremendous assert for our wrestling team. His ability to be competitive at a variety of different weight classes help our team immensely. A major reason for his success, had a great deal to do with his athletic ability. Boone's agility and determination was a shining example to all.
Personality: Boone is a very coachable young man. He was always eager to learn and willing to help others. His willingness to compete wherever we needed him was a great example of the team concept that coaches strive for in their athletes.

Personality: Boone is a genuine leader. He is kind, of outstanding character, and truly likable. He constantly expects the best of himself. He is mature and patient with others. He is a terrific young man.
My interests besides soccer are refereeing, wrestling, archery, wood-working, metal-working, sax and guitar, and reading. I enjoy the outdoors such as camping, kayaking, and sport target shooting. But I also enjoy travel and studying different cultures. I enjoy all my classes in school, particularly math, business, history and Spanish and have offered tutoring help to my teammates with eligibility issues. I am very social and have earned the nickname "The Sour Patch Kid" because the aggression and determination I show on the pitch and mat do not match my personality off the field. I try to be helpful and generous to others and I try to rally people whether on the pitch, in the classroom or in any other situation.
INDIVIDUAL ATHLETIC AWARDS: Junior Year: Team Captain, 240 saves, (three year total of 626 saves) All District, All Conference, All Area, MVP, All Conference Academic Scholar (five times in two sports), #1 in Michigan for goals saved in the regular season, Sophomore year 215 saves, top game of 29 saves in a game, 3 shut outs, 2nd in state for goals saved in regular season and 1st in the West Michigan Conference for goals saved freshman, sophomore and junior years, All Conference Team, All District Team, Mr. Spartan Award for leadership/dedication/attitude, All Area Honorable Mention, Freshman year: Rookie of the Year, All Conference Nominee, Top game of 24 saves, 171 season saves, hold school record for goals saved, top 10 in the state for goals saved, much of the season at #1.
