Personal Statement
I have loved the game of soccer ever since I started playing and am amazed on how every player brings their own talent to the field to make the whole team successful. I started soccer when I was 5 years old, playing 3 years on my local Rec Team. Based on my performance, I was asked to try out for travel the upcoming year. I was successful in making the travel team and have been playing at a premiere 1 or 2 level ever since.
My travel coaches have taught me how to use my speed to move the ball effectively and move to open space to speed up the attack. I am able to communicate very well with my teammates, resulting in receiving the ball on the attack which results in either putting it in the net myself or by assisting a fellow teammate. My interest in playing for college increased when I met Mike Howell, who was my resent club coach for the past 4 years. Learning from his experiences on playing D1 soccer inspired me to continue my soccer career at the collegiate level. I work with my coaches to grow my passing and scoring skills.
My goal is to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level. I believe I bring speed to the game of play, cooperation with fellow teammates, skill and mentality to work hard every time I step on the field. I work to find a way to score or assist a fellow teammate who is in a better position to. In the end I would love to find a college that fits my academic career goal and improves me athletically, allowing me to contribute to the soccer program. I am glad to see you are interested in me and it would be great to discuss any opportunities of playing for your school at your convenience.
