In 2019 I went through a torn meniscus, surgery and had to face recovery and rehabilitation for 9+ months. I had to focus on that and committed all I could to support my high school team differently. I attended all practices, kept stats and did whatever I could to be part of the team. Watching from sidelines was very hard, but I had to recover. I made sure to stay positive, do all the specialists asked of me and stayed connected with my team to get through it.
I came out of this experience with improved speed and more desire than ever to play the game I love and make every touch count. I earned a different perspective through this injury.
