Brandon Washington '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brandon Isaiah Washington. Currently, I am a senior playing soccer at Pembroke Hill High school looking to play college and professional soccer in the future. I have been playing the sport since I was 3 years old, and I absolutely love it with a passion. As far as being a good candidate for teams, I can assure you that I put 110 percent effort and dedication on and off the field.

My primary positions are center attacking mid as well as a striker. I can distribute and create chances with the ball in the central area when playing mid, and can score plenty of goals as both. When playing center midfield, I aim to replicate the playing style of phenomenal players like N'golo Kante, Marco Verratti, and Toni Kroos. When playing Center forward I aim to replicate the playing style of players like Pierre Emerick Aubamayeng, Luis Suarez, and Didier Drogba. I am a very fast, yet skilled player, and I enjoy pressuring defenders constantly while of course maintaining my stamina and upholding team discipline. 9.5 times out of 10 I will beat a defender in a foot race towards the goal. I can also play right wing or right back, so I consider myself a well-rounded, versatile player. Outside backs that I look up to include David Alaba and Ashley Cole. In terms of when I am playing wing, I try to replicate the style of fast paced players like Arjen Robben, Eden Hazard, and Neymar. As you can see, I am open to playing anywhere with the right training from the right coaches. 

 With that being said, I also understand that it is just as important to excel academically. I can assure you that I will  not only do well on the pitch, but as well in the classroom. I will treat my teachers as I treat my coaches; with full respect and dedication. 

As far as colleges, I am primarily looking to play division 1 or 2 college soccer. I want to be tested, and play with the highest level players in the country. However, any school that develops an interest in me, whether it is a deemed large or small school, I can assure you that I will review and consider equally. I am currently focusing on one step at a time, but I do intend on playing professionally if all goes will with my academic and athletic college seasons respectively .
