Personal Statement
I have always wanted to play soccer at the highest level of competition. I want to play at a collegiate level because I enjoy playing soccer more than anything. Every since I started playing soccer I had always strive at becoming the best at what I could do. My father played college and professional soccer and has shown me the beauty and passion for playing soccer. There were kids who understood the game better than me, sprinted faster, or even taller but I never let that get in my way of pursuing my goal of playing. Over the years in my high school career, I have grown into a player that understands the fundamentals of putting teammates in a position that they can thrive, the value of teamwork, dedication, and sacrifice. I focus on putting all my effort into playing and dream of playing at the highest level of competition that I can reach.
In the classroom, I put just as much work into my academics. I have taken AP classes, dual credit courses, and IB classes. I understand what it takes to be a student-athlete and maintain good grades while putting just as much effort to perform well on the field. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work ethic, and adaptability to make an immediate impact on the program.
I believe that I am a good candidate for any soccer team because I have good experience with reading players and ball movement on the field. I have composure when going for a ball or when possessing the ball and can easily adapt to any formation or play style that is needed to make the team perform at its best. What makes me different from other recruits is that I have a good character on and off the field. I strive to become the best player that I can be and it shows in my work. Even with those aspects, I believe that I have something that other players do not have; I have the ability to bring out the best skills and performance of each of my teammates that can help them perform at their best.
