Personal Statement

Academics and athletics have always been a driving force in the way I approach schoolwork and my time on the pitch. I have had the opportunity play on highly competitive teams, winning state and regional tournaments including the Real Cup in Denver, our club state championship multiple times and another out-of-state tournaments in the region. In more than one tournament, we have placed second including most recently the Mayor's Cup in Las Vegas in the U19 age group, playing up a year. As team captain, I have had the responsibility to be a good role model on and off the field and am proud to have been a part of these high-performing and championship teams.  My high school, Bozeman High School, has won the state championship three of the last six years and we look to continue our success. As far as academics, I am taking 5 AP classes my senior year and have achieved a 4.3 GPA the last two semesters.

In this next year, my goal is to demonstrate integrity and my strong character to provide the leadership and skill on the pitch to help my high school and club teams to perform at our highest level regardless of the opponent or tournament. One of my goals for my senior year has been to earn the Senior Captain role on Bozeman High's varsity soccer team. I have been fortunate to have achieved that goal. By demonstrating my strong work ethic and leadership character, I plan to help guide my team to dominance throughout the state and win the state championship.

Academically, I plan to increase my GPA to greater than 4.3 as I continue in Advanced Placement classes in my senior year. By accomplishing these goals, it will help me toward my ambition to attend a top tier academic school with a highly competitive soccer program.
