Growing up in Montana has significantly helped my physicality, determination, endurance and gave me grit to do the heavy work. I have had a great time here in Montana but, I am looking to further my skills in a bigger level and develop soccer in Montana.
During my sophomore and Junior year we were state champions in the MCAA soccer league. It always had been a dream to win state, but it means more to me to compete well at a bigger cup than at one in Montana. On top of this, we won state my U14 year which is the same year we won a bigger tournaments in Denver, as well as in Cody, Wyoming. Everything seemed to be going as planned, when life took is course. Near mid August I had became ill and found out it was heat stroke. In one day I lost 20 pounds and was not feeling so well as you could imagine. This was the exact same time as tryouts and unfortunately this occurred that Wednesday of a five day tryout. Luckily I was brought onto the varsity team but saw minimal time, while I recovered. Lord willing I recovered fast and gained that twenty pounds and some, however my muscles were weak and I had not thought of that. We made it to State that year and in the Semi-Final I went to clear the ball and my hip flexer tore. That year the team took third at state making the injury not as terrible as it seemed in the moment. I healed up months later in time for my club season.
Following from the previous experience I trained hard that club season, no matter the other players efforts. Again, we had reached state and I was healthy active as ever ready to take home the cup. However, God had other plans and I broke my collar bone in a motorized accident and was out for six months loosing all ability to train in the summer. Through these occurrences this is what has brought about the grit to do thing I could have gave up on. My friends and family still believe in me and my grandparents are there as well but with Christ beside me, I plan to further my game in college and be an example to all the players out there and to bring a good name to my home state and city.
