My dream has been to play soccer at the college level from the time I began playing as a little kid. I have never worked so hard for anything else in my life. On every team I have played for I work hard to be the best possible player I can be to help the team, and achieve my goals. Team has always come first for me, it isn't about my individual goals or achievements but whether or not the team competes well or wins.
I remember going to my older brothers practices and playing with them and getting one on one training with his coach while they ran. I told my brother I was going to play varsity my freshman year and I accomplished that goal and helped them win state. It hasn't always been easy though, during my last season for Hellgate High School I was only capable of playing in six games due to a hip and back injury. I continued to work hard and was able to make the first team all-state. That's one characteristic that defines who I am - never backing down from a challenge. I will always be the hardest worker on any team I play for.
Although soccer is my favorite thing to do it is not the only thing I work hard for. I have worked harder than ever in the classroom to improve my GPA and have put in the effort to get extra help. Also I enjoy serving on the worship team at my church to help lead the congregation in music. In free time, I enjoy hanging out with my best friends and playing pick up basketball with them for fun and watching movies.
I can't wait for my dream to come true of being a student-athlete at the college level and will continue to work hard until my dream is fulfilled.
