Personal Statement

My name is Justin Wohlfarth and I am from Concord, NC just outside Charlotte.  I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old first as a striker, then as a goalkeeper.  I joined my first Club team 4 years ago when I was recommended as a good goalkeeper for the team.  I helped advance this team from Classic B to Classic A, then all the way to the State Championship game in 2015.  I was extremely proud of our effort in making it to the championship game, and even though we lost in overtime by a score of 1-0,  I am proud of my 17 saves in the final game.   I am always striving to improve my game and I keep working hard to get better and better.  I am a very hard worker, both athletically and academically, and coaches always appreciate my drive and leadership ability.  I always remain levelheaded and calm during games, making quick decisions and communicating clearly with my teammates.  Although I miss playing on the field at times, I believe I am a natural goalkeeper with quick hands and accurate throws.  One of the highlights of my varsity career is scoring a goal and an assist during senior night.    I was voted MVP by my varsity coach and peers, and also was awarded All Conference this season.  I am excited to see where my talents and love for soccer will take me.   Currently I volunteer with the local  Special Olympics to teach children soccer and basketball skills.  What makes me different from other recruits would be my perseverance and dedication, my desire to get better at the game I love, to help others develop, and to play hard every time I'm on the field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
