Noah Kankanala '16 Recruiting Profile

I am someone who works hard both on and off the field whether it be training in the gym or taking shots on the weekends. I am also extremely coachable and am willing to do whatever it takes to improve my game. Some of my strengths are my vision, shielding, movement with the ball, and quickness. I excel in the defensive mid position due to my strong possession skills and vision. However, I can also be employed as an attacking mid. 

I take my academics as seriously as my athletics. I challenge myself by taking almost exclusively AP and honors classes. I strive to be the best I can be regardless of the situation.

When you don’t see me in the classroom or on the field, you may find me playing or listening to music. Music is something I use for both reflection and self-expression. I have been taking piano lessons for over 10 years, guitar lessons for 3 years, and vocal lessons for roughly 1 year. In addition, I started a band a couple of years ago called The Downed Pilots and, as lead vocalist and guitar player, enjoy “jamming” with my friends. We actually did very well at last year’s regional “Battle of the Bands”.
