Personal Statement
My name is Lukas Duemmler and I am graduating in the spring of 2015. I was born in Germany and moved to the United States in 2006. Ever since I started walking I have been playing soccer. My cousin taught me how to play when I was 3 years old and I have played ever since. I didn't even learn about college soccer until 7th grade, and ever since then I have wanted to play in college because I know it is another step in achieving my ultimate goal of playing professional soccer; which I know will take a lot of hard work and sacrifice of my time, effort, and sweat. I play forward and central attacking midfield for club and school soccer. I am very knowledgeable about the game and have great leadership on and off the field. I have been a starter on varsity at my school since freshman year and my junior year I was captain. I am captain again this year. Outside of soccer, I enjoy helping people and volunteering at my church. I work hard in school to maintain the best GPA I can between school, soccer, and church; that is around a 3.95. I have taken a few AP courses and as many honors classes as I can to challenge myself academically.
