Personal Statement
My name is Nathan Pike and I am a soccer player from Raleigh, NC. I will graduate in 2015. I have been a starting forward on our Varsity team since my freshman year at North Raleigh Christian Academy (NRCA). My primary position is forward for our high school team. I am also a starting forward for my club team, the Triangle Futbol Club Alliance 96 Select team. The greatest assets I bring to my teams are speed, field vision and the ability to create scoring opportunities for myself and my teammates. Some of my accomplishments include: 2014 All Conference, All Region, All State, 2014 Ravenscroft Invitational All-Tournament Team, 2013 All Conference, All Region HM, 2013 Impact Award, 2012 All Conference, All Region, Outstanding Offense Award, 2012 Ravenscroft Invitational All-Tournament Team and team MVP at UNC Soccer Camp in 2010 and 2011. I have also consistently been among the leading scorers for both teams over the past four seasons. In 2014 I had 27 goals and 6 assists and In 2013, I had 18 goals and 11 assist for my high school team which won the NCISAA 3A State Championship. I had 5 goals and 3 assists in the state playoffs including two goals in the state finals. I am looking for colleges in Southeastern United States however I am open to other opportunities if they present themselves. I have not yet decided on a field of study but consider myself to be well-rounded and open to many potential career paths. I currently have a 4.33 GPA and scored 1220 on my SAT. I have taken AP and Honors courses throughout each year of high school. I am looking for a reputable college or university where I can achieve my athletic goals as well as receive an education that will prepare me for my chosen career. I would like to find an institution where my athletic abilities can be utilized early in my career. I am passionate about the game of soccer and my dream is to play soccer on the collegiate level.
