My name is Jackson Kallman and I am 18 years old and a senior at Gretna High School in Gretna, Nebraska. I have been playing soccer for thirteen years with the last seven on select competitive teams. My greatest desire is to continue my soccer career into college. I am a good student with a cumulative GPA of 3.54 on a 4.0 scale composed mainly of honors core classes. I have played my first three years of high school soccer on the varsity as a center back and started every game the last two years. As a sophomore, our team finished 3rd in the state and lost in double overtime to the eventual state champ. Last season we played in the Nebraska State Championship where we lost 0-1 in double overtime. I believe my greatest athletic attribute is my athleticism. My height and vertical jump allow me to dominate in the air whether I am attacking the goal or clearing the ball. During the last high school season, I scored 3 header goals off set pieces and also had 2 header assists. I am well known by other players and coaches as a hard tackler with no fear who will gladly sacrifice his body to prevent a goal. With great speed, I can close rapidly on opposing players and can cover for outside backs to prevent penetration up the flanks. I pride myself on being a great team player who communicates really well with teammates and coaches.
