Personal Statement
Soccer has influenced every aspect of my life and goes all the way back to when I could barely walk. It has turned me into a leader on and off the field that has lead to success in all aspects of my life. I know how to bring a team together and change the outcome when working with my peers in school clubs and in the classroom. When I was young, the coach I looked up to most told me that if I excel in the classroom I would be able to pursue any career that excites me most. I have always thought of his quote and have worked diligently to maintain straight A's throughout my whole high school career. I went through the greatest physical challenge of my life when I tore my achilles at a tournament in Seattle. My recovery process opened me to a completely new side of medicine and it is where I gained my interest in studying Exercise Science.
Throughout the course of my life I have moved all over the United States and experienced many different playing styles and formations. I have learned the necessary skill to quickly adapt to my surroundings and positively impact the play on the soccer field. These moves taught me how to play against different team styles while exposing me to top players from across the nation. This has also been one of the top challenges that have shaped who I am. Arriving to a completely new team and trying to fit in while taking a starting spot from a new teammate has been a challenge within itself. Finding a coach that I get along with, and have a solid relationship is huge because it makes the sport more enjoyable and encourages me to be my best. I can't wait to see what the future holds along with creating a relationship with you.
