Sharrieff Ali '14 Recruiting Profile

Since I was six years old, playing soccer is what I love to do more than anything. When I 'm  the pitch with a ball at my feet I feel completely free, like I can do anything. I can really be myself. Some people play music, some people create beautiful art, I play futebol (soccer), that's how I show my art.

Thanks to my dad and my coaches I'm learning how to use my talent in futebol to get the best from life. My number one goal right now is to go to a good college, get a good education and play futebol at the same time. I'm not a straight A student but I am very serious about my education and my future. I know I can succeed in the classroom and on the soccer field and I will prove that at the right college after I graduate next spring. 

My father is a big influence in my life and I have learned a lot from him. One of the most important things he has taught me is that talent can take me to the top but it is my character that will keep me there. I also learned that working hard and having my priorities in order are the keys to my success.

That means that sometimes, when my friends want to hang out I can't go because I have to study and train everyday. I love hanging out and have fun like anybody else but sometimes you have to sacrifice some fun right now for what you want in life in the future.I know that I have what it takes both in talent and desire to go to the next level and I am 100% committed to get there and to succeed.
