Alexander Parillo '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexander Parillo and I am a defender (primarily centerback but also leftback and some cdm). I am currently a junior at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. I will graduate in 2018.

I am interested in business/sports management and I want to further my education at an intellectually dynamic institution. At Union Catholic, in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, I have a 3.9 GPA. I am a member of the National Honor Society and the French Honor Society. I have made First Honors every marking period since my freshman year. I am also a proud member of the school's Ambassador program. 

During the 2016 high school season, I was the starting center back for Union Catholic. I was named to the New Jersey Private/Parochial (SCANJ) All-State team, as well as 2nd team All-Union County and First team All-Conference. I scored 5 goals and had 2 assists. Union Catholic was Union County Conference Sky Division co-champions and had an overall record of 14-4-1. The team participated in both the state and county tournaments. 

For the past three years, I have played for Cedar Stars Academy based out of Newark N.J. My current team is Cedar Stars Academy Newark 2000. During the 2017 season, I was the starting left back. We made it to the finals of the NJYSA State Cup and the semi-finals of the US Club Soccer NJ Cup. We were champions in our EDP league division. I  scored 2 goals and had 5 assists. 

I would like to attend a school where there is an energy and excitement around both academic and athletic programs.I feel that I am in an excellent place as far as school and soccer are concerned. I am confident in my abilities to succeed.
