Personal Statement
I first got into soccer when I was three years old. From there on, I never gave it up. The most important things I have learned through playing soccer is to have confidence and sportsmanship. Having confidence helps me on and off the field. Having confidence on the field allows me to be a better teammate and leader both during practices and games. Sportsmanship has taught me to always conduct myself positively in winning and losing to best represent my team and school. I would like to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level in a program that will allow me to grow as a player as well as a student.
My academic goals for college is to go into sports medicine and athletic training. Being in a selective sports medicine program at my school really helps me get towards that goal. I am confident I can find a collegiate program that will meet both my academic and athletic goals.
Playing varsity as a freshman at Southeast Raleigh High School was a great learning experience for me. It took a lot of confidence and helped me develop my skills to get me to where I am now; playing at Cleveland High School. Also playing club ball has allowed me to train year round and continually learn and grow as a player. I look forward to challenging myself to get better and develop my skills in the future and also pursue my college education in athletic training.
