Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Collin Hinnant. I live in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. I attend Dixon High School where I am a member of the varsity soccer team, coached by Kevin Hart. I am currently a junior in high school and am beginning to take a look toward my future in both athletics and education. I am currently enrolled as an online student with the North Carolina School of Science and Math as well as attending my local high school and Coastal Carolina Community College. I definitely have aspirations to play college soccer, as well as to get a good education. I play club soccer with the Onslow County Classic Soccer Association (OCSA) where I am a member of the 1999 premier team. I am also dual-rostered at my age group on the 1st division 2001 team. My primary position on the field is attacking mid. On my high school team we play a 4-5-1. In this formation I enjoy my role as a playmaker, as well as getting in on the attack. What makes me stand out is that I am a very well-rounded student athlete. Throughout my entire life I can always remember someone saying "Academics come first". While being a three sport athlete at Dixon (soccer, basketball, and track) I have still managed to hold down a 4.37 GPA. I am enrolled in multiple high level courses including multiple AP courses. On the field, I am very good with both my left and right foot. I often find myself playing that last through ball to one of our forwards or outsides mids to get in on goal. I enjoy this very much because in a tight game, the assist is just as important as the goal. I am looking forward to see what my future holds both on and off the field.
