I started playing soccer when I was three years old at the YMCA, and ever since, I have loved the sport!  After playing at the recreational level for a while I wanted to play at the club level, so I tried out for WHYFC.  I made the C team and played for one year. When annual tryouts were up, and with a ton of hard work, I made the A team.  I was so excited! My first year on the A team was rough. I didn't have the confidence of some of my teammates. I knew I needed this in order to be a good teammate, and leader.  Again, through hard work and dedication I was able to become a very good player. After being on the A team for three years, I was one of four selected by my coach to participate in a USA National Team scouting clinic. During the clinic I was able to compete with some of the best competition in the state!  Within 24 hours of being home I received a message from US Club Soccer inviting me to a camp held in Casa Grande, AZ. I immediately replied yes! I would love to come! This camp was challenging, as it helped me realize how much harder I needed to work to reach the next level. The next season my team and I did not do so hot.  We lost most of our games, but we had one more piece of hope... State Cup. We practiced and practiced and ended up winning the cup! This told me there will be bumps in the road, but if you fight and work together you can achieve anything. Any program I am fortunate enough to attend, I will present a strong work ethic, along with teamwork, to help us achieve anything we put our minds to. I am entering my first year of high school next month, and I am looking forward to trying out for our team.  I also plan on volunteering in my community and possibly doing some missionary work next summer.
