I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. While I am flexible about many things that I am looking for in a college, my main focus is on continuing to play ball. My trainer, Frank Schmidt, has been coaching since 1969. He has been working with me for the last several years on improving my skills and knowledge of the game. While I am primarily a defender, I am aggressive and offensive minded. When we are down by a goal and it is late in the game, my coach has often moved me to mid-field to generate some offense. I have been playing Varsity since my sophomore year at Sachem High School North. I have been our team captain on my travel club for the past 3 years.
I believe myself to be a leader on and off the field. I am an independent thinker who is outgoing and outspoken. While I can honestly say that I am not the best "test-taker," I work hard in the classroom and go above and beyond what is expected of me. I will not be taking it easy my senior year. I will be taking many classes that will challenge me and will help with my first year transition into college.
I am looking forward to the college application process. This is an exciting time in my life, and I am not going to take this opportunity for granted!
