Dylan Hannaford '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dylan and I am a 5'11" central defender. I can also play at the outside back position too. I have played soccer all my life and it has become a major part in my life throughout the years I have been playing. Soccer is one of the things that I am most passionate about and I love every time I get the chance to play on the field. I give everything I have when I am on the field and play with the passion that I have for the game. I constantly critique myself so I know what I need to practice so I can do better the next time. Most people think I am a shy person but when I step out onto the field it changes me and I become a leader and take charge no matter what happens. I also like to help other people so if I see someone that is in need of help I will talk to them and show what they could do to help whatever the problem may be. I am always trying to advance my game to the next level and I believe the collegiate level is that next level I can play at.

I have played on the Varsity team at my school for four years now and each year I have been increasing my play every year. I have started on the team ever since the start of my sophomore year. The past two years I have played every minute of every game. My junior year I was awarded the Most Valuable Defensive Player and the Center State Conference Scholar Athlete Award. My senior year I became captain of the team and try to show my leadership whenever I can either on the field or in the classroom.

In my academic life I am very determined to be the best I can be. I have been in advanced classes ever since the 7th grade. I also have been in the National Honor Society for two years now. For collegiate academics I would want to major in engineering because that is where I excel and I also enjoy the mathematics and science that is included in it.
