Personal Statement
Hello my name is Nate Hite. I am a junior in high school for the school year 2014-2015 and play for Columbia High School in Columbia Station, OH, which is in Division III.
I have been Captain of my high school team for two years and will be next year as well, my senior year. This season, my junior year, I have been awarded: Player of the Week in our local newspaper, First Team All-Patriot Athletic Conference, First Team All-County, First Team All-District. In my sophomore season, I received: First Team All-Patriot Athletic Conference, First Team All-County, First Team All-District. In my freshman year, I received an Honorable Mention for both All-Patriot Athletic Conference and All County. This year, I led the team with the most goals and assists, and am third in the PAC-12 conference for goals scored.
I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. It is my passion. I have been trained to play many positions through the years: defense, goalie, forward, sweeper, and now attacking and/or defensive mid for high school and center back, right mid, and striker for my club. I can play anywhere I am needed on the field.
I have played with the premiere club team of Cleveland Futbol Club (CFC) for five years under the coaching of Ulf Ryberg and Vladimir Godosev. CFC plays in the Midwest Regional League and we travel nationally for tournaments and showcases. Previous to CFC, I was with Concordia Soccer Club for five years.
I intend to play soccer in college. I plan to major in chemistry with a minor in biology, or if the college has it, major in biochemistry. I am looking at colleges with programs in those areas. My GPA has maintained at 4.3 throughout high school. I am ranked 7th in my class to date.
