Personal Statement
I developed a passion for soccer while living in Dusseldorf, Germany where I trained on a sportverein team and had the opportunity to attend many professional games. I have dedicated myself to playing soccer for the US Soccer Development Academy for the past two years working to prepare myself to play college soccer at the highest level. Playing for the Internationals Academy Program has not only improved my soccer game it has also taught me a great deal about commitment and sacrifice. I have also worked hard to improve my grade point average at Walsh Jesuit High School.
I will be traveling to Duran, Equador in April on a mission trip with my high school. We have been preparing for this opportunity all year and we will work with the sick and impoverished. Of course, the opportunity to play soccer with the orphans of this area will be one of the highlights of my mission trip. I volunteer at a local retirement home in the activities department, ski and play piano in my free time.
