Personal Statement
From a soccer standpoint, I have been playing soccer since I could walk. I have always been very passionate and, in grade school, I would control the soccer team. I was very much all about winning games and never losing. During my years in grade school I joined ODP to help train and become a better player. Throughout my time at ODP, I have gone to Kansas to play various other Olympic Development State soccer programs. My team, Ohio North, was among the top 10 teams in the regional camp. I played at the club level throughout my years as a grade schooler with Liberty FC in Akron. I was a top player in the squad and helped my team go to the State Cup and various other matches. Playing at the club level stopped when I went into high school because I participated in track to help gain fitness and speed for the fall high school soccer season. Track benefited in the fact that I am currently the fastest kid on the team. Walsh Jesuit is an exceptional Division I soccer program that was ranked #1 in the state for some time during the 2015 season. I am looking forward to making a run for the State title in my senior season.
I have collegiate aspirations for playing college soccer. I have many years of soccer experience. I have gone to and will be attending various college ID camps to help prepare for the intensity of college soccer. I have played alongside teammates that have gone to John Carroll and Ohio State for soccer. I am a good candidate because I run track to increase my stamina and speed. I am also a very hard-worker and a great team leader. I am very disciplined and committed to my peers and coaches. I go to a very exceptional Jesuit college preparatory high school that is very competitive. Being at a Jesuit high school helps me have oppurtunities to serve others. This summer I will go to Nicaragua to help serve others and maybe share my love for soccer with them. I maintain a 3.3 cumulative grade point while constantly participating on a sports team.
