Personal Statement
Soccer began for me at the early age of 3 years old! I remember always being real physical and competitive. Being a goalkeeper has taught me that with a lot of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication, I can make a difference both on and off the field.
I just completed my sophomore season at Olmsted Falls High School near Cleveland, OH. I am a 2-year Varsity starter and have achieved various Cleveland and state area accolades. As goalie, I possess great leadership skills and am a team leader. My freshmen year I received Rookie of the Year and this year I was awarded the SWC 2014 1st Team All Conference and 2nd Team Division I All-Greater Cleveland. I finished my High School season this year with 8 consecutive shutouts with a 0.71 GAA for the season. I also was named Player of the Week for The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
I also was the starting goalkeeper with the German Central Men's team in the Majors Divisions of the Lake Erie Soccer League. This is a top armature adult league in Ohio that competes with college players home from college from Division 1 schools, as well as recently retired MLS, U.S. National Team, and current professional players.
Currently I am traveling with my club team, Challenger Crew U17. This team is very competitive and allows me to compete against a wide variety of teams and participate in higher quality games.
Physically I have a good athletic build and workout everyday to stay fit. I have given many hours of training, 5-6 times a week with my current club team, as well as my personal trainer Denny Ciornei from Ciornei Goalkeeping Academy. I have realized that nothing will be given to me and that I must learn and train everyday from the ground up.
Soccer is my passion and I plan on pursuing my dreams at the collegiate level and beyond.
