Personal Statement
I want to be an exceptional student athlete. I want to be an important part of the team during my 4 years of collegiate play. I plan to earn my degree in business. I will do my best in my classes and maintain a high GPA in order to excel academically, which is evident with my current GPA and test scores. Not only do I want to be an important member of the team but I want to strive to help the team go on to win a conference championship and eventually a national championship.
Over the past year I have stepped into a larger leadership role on the team, winning the starting job at center back and helping the team to advance to the state finals for the third year in a row. I have been contributor on the varsity team since my freshman year of high school, winning state championships freshman and sophomore year, and accumulating a record of 49-2 so far in my high school career. I have played club soccer for OFC for most of my youth, continuing that into high school, I play for OFC 97. My soccer knowledge has helped me to progress in the game throughout my life and I am a very coachable player, and I believe that will help in my transition to the collegiate level.
The main thing that makes me different from other players is my work ethic and my refusal to lose. I am a very hard working young man and I would attribute that to the teachings of my parents and my coaches. I am a good teammate and easy to get along with, and I think I am a funny guy. I know that it will take hard work to play and compete at the next level, and I am ready to learn and put in the work in order to do so
