Personal Statement
My name is Mizael Harris, and I am a senior at La Salle Preparatory High School in Milwaukie, Oregon. I’m open to an excellent college programs that will fit me best academically and athletically.
Soccer has always been a part of my life since I was young, and I’ve always loved playing it. Currently, I have been playing for my club team Portland City United (PCU), my La Salle Prep varsity high school team, and the Oregon Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP). Positionally, I mostly play left and right wing, but I am also adaptable to any mid-field position or an outside back. I believe that I am a very skillful player with exceptional technical abilities. I think that my strengths- ball control, speed, and situational awareness are effective enough to change games. I am a very coachable player and always strive to become better as a player and as a person.
When it comes to academic work, I want to make sure that I am always trying my best to achieve my goals. I want to better myself academically and overcome the challenging aspects of my work. I think that I have proven that by earning a 4.0 during my entire Junior Year in high school. I believe that to be successful in life, it starts with being successful in the classroom. I am looking forward to going to a college that will best fit me both on and off the field. I would like to find a good program that will challenge and improve me not only as a soccer player, but as a person.
