I started playing soccer my freshman year. I visited my family in Poland the summer after 8th grade and being surrounded by the culture made me instantly fall in love with soccer. I think that the sport has helped me a lot with growing as a person. Learning how to deal with losing and having to own up to making mistakes, and it directly affecting my team was a big struggle for me in the beginning. I am fortunate that I was part of a good program that has had a winning record the past eight years, and has made it to the District finals three of my four years. I think the biggest struggle that I had to face was during my senior year. We graduated 11 seniors, and we only had three returning starters. Being the captain of a new group of people, and learning to be patient with everyone was a big struggle for me after having such a high standard of play for the past three years.
I aspire to be an ESL teacher in another country or I would like to teach a foreign language in either The United States of America, or another country. I am hard working and I always hold myself accountable on and off the pitch. I have played in two district 10 finals, and been in the playoffs all four of my years in high school, and I was a captain my senior year. I think that I can bring a very unique presence to a team with my sense of humor accompanied with my passion for improvement da in and day out.
