My soccer career has been filled with ups and downs that have pushed me to be better. Not making playoffs my freshman and sophomore years, and then losing in the first round my junior year, after setting a school record for the longest unbeaten streak, has encouraged me to work harder on all aspects of my game. Not always having a club team because we live in such a rural area with no elite organizations easily accessible, has made me work harder to showcase my talents when the opportunity presents itself. Through my struggles though, I was awarded with a first team selection in the Mid Penn Capital all-starts. While most players would see the recognition as an invitation to rest, I used it as motivation to keep pushing towards a bigger goal.
I have been playing soccer since I was five and never second guessed that this was the sport I wanted to play for as long as possible and at the highest level of competition possible. I have learned valuable skills and lessons along the way, including leadership qualities, time management, and that success does not come without work. I hope to finish high school as an A-student and remain in the top 10 of my class. In college I hope to pursue my degree while still playing the sport that I love. Through this journey I have had to overcome playing at a small high school and not always having a club team to help get my name out there. I am a smart and dedicated player who is ready to fulfill my role on your team.
