Personal Statement
Being a kid from the city of Philadelphia, I never had the direct access to the opportunities that kids from other suburban communities had. Access to elite club teams were limited, the lack of fields made it hard to train, and many of my peers hardly had interest in soccer. However, I never let these factors derail me from my dream, playing at the next level. Therefore, I worked, and still work, as hard as I can to become the best player and person I can be. I travel close to 40 miles two to three times a week to go to club practice, I take the bus everyday after school to the only training field I have access to, and I constantly ask my coaches for tips and search online for how I can become a better player. Overall, that is what makes me a great candidate for a high level college soccer program. I am aware of the hard work it takes to achieve a goal that may seem impossible, and most certainly not afraid of putting in the required time it takes to achieve that goal.
