I have been playing soccer, the beautiful game, now for 15 years of my life. It started out as just being on rec league teams, but has since blossomed into a very exciting career. My very first position was as a left midfielder, but I ultimately dropped that position to play as a goalkeeper. I have been a goalkeeper for my competitive team, the Germantown Legends, since 7th grade. I play for my high school team, Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, TN, and have played all four years throughout my time at Christian Brothers.
My coaches have always told me that I am just a little too short to play the position. Through agility and speed, I make up for lack of height. My leaping ability has increased major amounts since coming to Christian Brothers. This has been widely recognized by not only team coaches, but also the players.
I spend multiple hours a day working on homework, and making sure I am organized with my work for the week. Finding a college where there is a balance for classroom and athletic excellence is a must for me. There are certain fields that I want to study in, being criminal justice/ political science, and Spanish. People have always held me responsible for the weight I carry both on and off the field, and that is one of the most important things I take pride in. Responsibility is key for anything I do.
