Personal Statement
My name is Arik Ribble, and my goal to to play college athletics while getting my education. I am a 2019 graduate from Corpus Christi, Texas. At London High School, I am a hard worker, always pushing myself to be better both on the field and in the classroom. I am a versatile football player, playing wide receiver, safety and punt/kick returner for London. One of my strengths is my speed; I run a 4.49 40, and I believe I can improve upon that. I'm an all around athlete, starting on varsity for multiple sports, including track and soccer. I had a very successful junior season at football, achieving first team honors on both offense and defense for our district as well as being named to the All South Texas team. I was also recently honored by my high school coaches and named London High School's Athlete of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year. I also achieved honors in soccer (Offensive MVP of the district) and track (placed 5th at the Region IV track meet in the 100m). I have a 3.6 GPA, scored a 27 on the ACT (first time taking it), and I take my academic success seriously as well. I am a team player and will help any team I am on. I'm also very coachable and take direction well. I believe I can be an asset to wherever I go and achieve success as a team player and academically.
