Daniel Bermingham '18 Recruiting Profile

I started in the sport of soccer at the tender age of four and knew then that I would be dedicated. I have always played with a year around team that are heavily Latino based. I have learned that quick style of the game and it was challenging for me, but these learned abilities to block, punch, and catch their many skillful attempts have made me into a skillful Keeper. I realized that not letting any balls pass me was my goal in an attempting to making a goal. The club teams I have played for many consecutive years have gone undefeated and have won state-wide tournaments in Houston, Dallas , Austin, San Antonio and South Texas. One highlight of this period would have to be the Bobby Rhine Invitational, in Dallas , where in the semifinal we played the FC Dallas Academy 00 and we beat them in PKs.  I saved 7 out of 13 PKs, and kept a clean sheet in the final. When we won that final, we got a free ride to the Dallas Cup. In the Spring of 2013, I began to try-out for the Olympian Development Program-SOUTH TEXAS, and I earned a place for the regional camp held in University of Alabama. I was exposed and learned a lot and have seen all types of competitions. Two consecutive summers, collage coaches have seen what I can do in the games and training and I've taken in their constructive advise. In addition, I am a FIFA licensed referee and have about 200+ games under my belt. I continue to learn at the higher levels of the sport of soccer and have expand my knowledge base of the game. Currently, I am a freshman starter on my 5A VARSITY high school team of Stratford High School. This is a congenital playoff team. I have .75 goal avg. for my high school team. With my club team in the highest level in premier division under academy my goal avg. is .35 last season.
