Personal Statement
I have continued on to play at Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas, which is a NJCAA D1 Junior college. After my time at Hesston, I am hoping to continue my collegiate career for another 2 years. I am hoping to join another team where I can succeed and create more memories that I will treasure forever. I feel as it is very important that I join a team that is a brotherhood that is built around the love of the game, trust, family, and success, to me this is how you not only win games but succeed on and off the field.
The highlight of my high school soccer career would definitely be either when I was named to the First Team All-Region squad and being ranked as the 5th best goalkeeper in the region my sophomore year or when I was named Goalkeeper of the year and District goalkeeping MVP my senior year. Winning these showed me as a player that I can do anything I set my mind to. I feel I grew the most as an athlete my junior season when I faced a concussion in the middle of league play which kept me out for the end of the season. My time out of the game made me realize how much the game really means to me and the experience really pushed me to step up my game. Yes, the experience pushed me as a goalkeeper but most importantly, it helped me grow as a person as well.
I am very fortunate and blessed to have been a part of such amazing program at Boswell High School. Luckily, such amazing teammates and coaches surrounded me, which really made the experience that much better. Over the past 3 years, I have learned many things but the memories that my team and I have created I will carry with me forever and for that, I am so thankful.
