Personal Statement
Hello coaches, I hope you are doing well.
My name is Grayson Harmon and I'm interested in playing collegiate soccer.
I'm a senior at Dinwiddie High School located in Dinwiddie, VA. I am currently undecided about what field of study I am interested in but I am leaning towards a business path. I currently have a 4.1 GPA (weighted) and am a member of the National Honor Society. On my SAT I received a score of 1240 out of 1600, scoring 650 in reading and writing, and 590 in math. On the ACT I scored a 27 out of 36.
I play for the varsity soccer team at Dinwiddie High School and have scored 10 goals and tallied 4 assists in my freshman and sophomore years. In my freshman year, I was named 2nd Team All-Conference and received the Offensive MVP award for my team. In my junior year, this past season, I played Center back and started the entire season. I was named 1st Team All-Conference for Center back and I scored 3 goals and picked up 7 assists on the year.
This past travel season, I played outside midfield and also outside back on Richmond Strikers u17 Elite team under head coach Joe Farrell (futsaldoc@mysportsunited.com). I have been coached by Danny Free ([email protected]) and Pat McStay ([email protected]) prior to coach Farrell. This past fall season I scored 4 goals and had 3 assists. We finished 2nd in the VPL and had strong performances at the CASL Boys Showcase Tournament in North Carolina as well as the Richmond Jefferson Cup in Virginia, where I had one assist in two games. This upcoming fall season I will be playing on the Richmond Strikers u19 Elite Orange team under head coach Benji Djeukeng.
I feel as if I am better suited than other recruits at the next level due to my hard work not only on the soccer field and training grounds, but also in the classroom as well.
