Andrea Loi '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andrea Loi and I am a Senior at Lake Washington High School. I am 17 years old, 6'0" tall and weigh 155 lbs. My family is of Italian heritage and both of my parents were born in Italy. I was born in the United States and started playing soccer at the recreational level at the age of five. At the age of six, my family and I moved to Italy where we lived for four years. I played club soccer with the local city team and was a regular starter all four years while leading the league in assists on the final year. 

In the fourth grade we moved back to Washington where I continued playing soccer at the club level on Crossfire Premier. I am currently on the "A" team and captain as well. I have been a starter and captain for all the years that I have played for Crossfire and this is due to the fact that I am a hard worker and a great teammate. My favorite and strongest position is center midfield, as I am an intelligent player who reads the game well and I remain cool and composed under pressure. However, I can play anywhere on the field as I am very coachable and flexible towards new playing styles and positions.

Earlier in the year, my team took second place in the Nike Crossfire Challenge and I had 4 assists and a goal in the 5 games that were played. For regular season I have scored 9 goals and got 7 assists. We also got second in the Challenge Cup for the State tournament and I was on the Challenge Cup Golazo Best XI team. In the tournament I scored 4 goals and got 2 assists.  I have been successful at the high school level as well as I have been starting every game on the varsity team beginning sophomore year, and have been captain since junior year while also winning Honorable Mention an MVP awards. As a sophomore I played center midfield getting 4 assists, but junior year I played as a center back and scored two goals.

Soccer is a huge part of my life and I will always continue to play and follow it as much as I can. My dream is to play at the college level with top level players and coaches where I can improve my playing ability and skill.
