The love and passion that I have for soccer began from a very young age. My journey began when a good friend asked me to fill in for a teammate at their game that weekend. I have been on the field ever since.
As I look back, Sam Laity, my first competitive club soccer coach stands out to me as the person who has had the most influence on how I play soccer. Coach Laity’s coaching strategy was full of passion, always pushing me to be creative both on and off the ball.
At a very young age I faced and overcame the death of my father. Day in and out, I put in the time and effort to make my father proud. This, as well as the other life events that I have experienced have made me a determined and dedicated player, among other things.
Soccer has taught me things that I would have never learned otherwise. Soccer has fought me to be responsible both on and off the field. Not only has soccer taught me how to be responsible, it also taught me how to communicate, how to be patient, how to support my teammates and most importantly how to push myself to be the best version of myself.
