I am Nate Hugh a senior at St. Joseph Central Catholic High School. I have played soccer for the past nine years and am a versatile player. I have been a starter for my High School team since my freshman year. I am also a starter for my club team. Because I am a versatile player, my coaches often use me in different positions. I started as a center back in high school my freshman year, but quickly earned a role as striker my sophomore year. This position earned me Forward of the Year as well as First Team All State for AA/A. In club my coach starts me as outside back but utilizes me as midfielder and striker when needed. I'm a very smart player and have the ability to read the field and anticipate the tempo of the game to make quick decisions. I am physically strong enough and have the endurance to play the entire game.
While soccer is important to me I also find it critical to maintain a 4.0 GPA in the highest curriculum possible. My dedication to my academics have afforded me the opportunity to be part of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Key Club. While I have not chosen a particular field of study for college, I am interested in attending a college where I can continue to be an excellent student athlete.
Academics and soccer play in important role in my daily life, however, I still find time to give back to my community through service hours. My service hours are equally divided between school, church and community. I maintain a part time job at a dental office and also referee youth soccer.
