My name is Jacob Bakich and I am very passionate about playing soccer. I started playing when I was three years old on a recreational league in Racine, WI. I joined club soccer when I was 10 years old and played for Red Star in Kenosha, WI. I then played for the Croatian Eagles until my Freshman year of high school. My family moved to Appleton, and I started playing for the Appleton Soccer Club, who I currently play for. As for high school, I played on the Hortonville High School Varsity team both my freshman and sophmore years, and I am now one of the Captains of the Hortonville team. I currently play as a center-midfielder, but have experience playing forward, outside midfield, and fullback. As a captain, I strive to always play as hard as I can, and to set a good example for my teammates. I do my best to remain positive out on the field, and to get my team fired up. Soccer has a always been a big part of my life, but I also focus a lot of my time on school. I am a very hardworking student and have earned a 4.0 both my freshman and sophomore years of high school. I hope to continue to maintain my 4.0 GPA throughout my junior and senior years. I am very interested in becoming an engineer and hope to study this field in college. Overall, I am a good candidate for college soccer teams because I am very passionate for soccer, I have a lot of experience and training in this sport, and I am a very dedicated and successful student.
