My name is Mitchell Yeakley and I am from Brentwood CA. I am a 2017 graduate and my primary position is forward. As a student athlete, I put my academics as a top priority as well as soccer, I am coach-able, hard working, and strive to improve every day. I have been playing soccer for 12 years but started to develop my skills at the age of nine. At this age I started of playing for a competition/traveling team, called Impact. I was a starter as midfielder and with hard work I was moved up to the older team two years later and there I played wide defender for the rest of my stay on the team, which was four years. During this time I was able to play for the Olympic Development Program for a year as well and the year after that I was asked to try out for the Earthquake development team. Unfortunately I was only able to develop my skills with this team for one year because I was unable to return because of financial issues. When I became a Sophomore in high school I decided that I wanted a better education and was accepted to a college preparatory boarding school in Mt. Calvary Wisconsin. At the school I made the Varsity soccer team as a Sophomore and played midfielder as a starter. This year I was moved up to forward and as a starter I scored 22 goals, had 6 assists, lead my team to become conference and regional champions, was awarded First team All Conference and team player award. Even though I am a sports player I still strive to just as good in the classroom as I am on the soccer field. I have a 3.0 career grade point average and I am involved in many other school activities.. I live to play soccer and strive to make myself better at all times. I would really like to play soccer in college because it is my greatest passion.
