Personal Statement

My name is Brett Garris, I am a senior at Oak Hill High in Oak Hill, West Virginia. I am a 5'11 - 175 lb. goalkeeper who has played all my life. I currently play for the West Virginia Rapids but previously played for the WV Rowdies and College level Xpress. My high school accomplishments range from All-State all three years as well as two state records; most saves in one game (22) & most saves in one season (226). I am the varsity captain of my team and reached my 500th save mark this season. My accomplishments off of the field include being a Student Council Representative and a part of National Honor Society. I am a member of Mountain View Church of God in Hilltop, WV. I plan for soccer to take me into college where I am able to pursue my dreams of one day being a college history professor. I will do anything to fit best onto a team & utilize my strengths and build on my weaknesses. I am a player that when practice gets canceled that day I will text all my teammates and tell them to get together at the fields so we can play. It is my dream to play college sports and I will do whatever it takes to make that happen. I am looking for a school, big or small, DI, DII, DIII that wants to win. I just want to play the beautiful game. I am the component your team needs, I am your next recruit.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
