Caden Carver '16 Recruiting Profile

    Since I began swimming 11 years ago, the sport has shaped me into the person I am today. Each day I am in the pool, my goal is to improve, even if it is upon the smallest thing. My dedication and motivation have been tested along the way, starting when my coach of 8 years passed away unexpectedly when I was 14. Since then, my club, the Havasu Stingrays Swim Team, has had three different head coaches, and I have successfully continued to improve. I am an extremely motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed. However, being from a club team with a limited number of senior athletes, it is very common to not feel challenged during practice. When this happens, I am the swimmer who asks coaches for extra workouts, and does what needs to be done, often by myself, to reach for the next level.  When I am challenged and pushed to my limits by coaches and competition, I thrive under the welcome challenge. I know pursuing excellence is not easy, and with that being said, I will consistently give everything I have to reach my goals. My life would be nowhere close to the same if I had not started swimming; now I cannot imagine a life without this truly unique and lovable sport. My skillset can be easily expanded upon, and with the right program I can see my desire and raw talent developing into a thriving collegiate athlete.
