After high school I want to pursue my academic goal of completing an undergraduate degree that gives me the perquisites to become a certified engineer. I have been an honour roll student for 4 consecutive years and I believe I have the aptitude and ability to become an engineer.
My swimming goals are to be chosen for the 2017 Team Canada Development Team, and also to attend the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
I am the type of swimmer who will always listen to what my coach has to say, whether it is feedback on a race or a suggestions based on a set that we do in practice. I am always very supportive of all my teammates and I am able to preform under pressure. Throughout my years of swimming I have mastered the psychological aspect of racing and being able to calm myself down before a race, thus providing me with better race strategies and outcomes.
A scholarship would allow me to work toward my academic and swimming goals without putting undue financial strain on my family.
